Itinerary:

  • Day-1: Leh Arrival
Take cab from Leh airport and check in to your hotel in Leh (at your own cost). Take complete rest in the hotel for acclimatization purpose.
  • Day-2: Excursion to Sham Valley (35+35 km)
After breakfast drive to Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Confluence of Zanskar and Indus river near Nimmu and drive back to Leh. Just before reaching Leh, visit Ladakh Hall of fame & Spituk Monastery. Back to hotel in Leh. Spend the evening in your own way like visiting Leh Market and shopping etc.
  • Day-3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (125 km)
After breakfast, check out the hotel. Proceed to Nubra Valley via World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla Pass. Arrive Nubra and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (at your own). Later if time permits, visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries. Night stay in camp/hotel.
  • Day-4: Excursion to Turtuk (85+85 km)
After Breakfast drive to Turtuk. Turtuk was under Pakistan’s control until 1971, after which India gained control of this strategic area. It is predominantly a Muslim village and residents speak Balti, Ladakhi and Urdu. Turtuk is the last outpost in India after which the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins. Back to Nubra and night stay in hotel/camp.
  • Day-5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (170 km)
After breakfast drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok. The main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet. A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflection shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lakes brackish water. Night stay in camps near the lake.
  • Day-6: Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri Lake (170 km)
After breakfast drive for Tso Moriri Lake (15,000 ft.) through Mahe Bridge. Tso Moriri Lake (28 km long & about 8 km wide) is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. Night stay in camps/hotel/homestay in Karzok village.
  • Day-7: Tso Moriri to Leh (210 km)
After breakfast drive back to Leh Via Mahe. On the way visit Shey, Thiksey Monastery and Rancho School. Cab will drop you at your hotel. Spend the evening in your own way like visiting Leh Market and shopping etc.

After breakfast, check out the hotel to take your flight back.
