Itinerary
Day-1: Chandigarh to Narkanda (160 km)
- Pickup: Chandigarh Railway Station at 9:00 AM.
- Start for Narkanda via Shimla and Kufri.
- On arrival in Narkanda, check in to your hotel and relax.

Day-2: Narkanda to Reckong Peo (160 km)
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and start for Reckong Peo.
- Visit Taranda Devi Temple, a revered roadside temple, considered the protector of this area.
- Visit Gateway of Kinnaur, a grand rock archway marking the entry into the Kinnaur.
- On arrival in Reckong Peo, check in to your hotel/homestay.
- Witness the majestic Kinnaur Kailash peak, forming a stunning backdrop in the evening light.

Day-3: Reckong Peo to Tabo (170 km)
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and start for Tabo.
- Within an hour, experience the dramatic terrain shift as greenery gives way to the barren cold desert.
- Visit Khab Sangam, confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers with breathtaking winter views.
- Visit Nako Monastery & Nako Lake. The lake often remains frozen during winters.
- If time permits, visit Gue Monastery, home to a 500-year-old naturally preserved mummy of Lama Sangha Tenzin.
- Arrive in Tabo, a historic village known for its ancient monastery and winter landscapes.

Day-4: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar (65 km)
- Early morning, take a short walk to the Tabo Caves, once used by monks for meditation.
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the Tabo Monastery (over 1000 years old), called the Ajanta of the Himalayas for its ancient wall paintings and murals.
- Then start for Kaza.
- Visit Dhankar Monastery, perched on a cliff with breathtaking views of the Spiti Valley.
- Arrive in Kaza and check in to your hotel/homestay. Evening free to explore Kaza Monastery and the local market.

Day-5: Excursion to Chicham and Kee Monastery
- After breakfast, set out for an extreme high-altitude winter adventure around Kaza.
- Visit Chicham Bridge (4,145 m), Asia’s highest suspension bridge, spanning a deep gorge, often surrounded by snow in winter.
- If accessible, visit Kibber Village (4,270 m), one of the world’s highest inhabited villages, famous for snow leopard sightings during winter months.
- Visit the iconic Kee Monastery, a 1000-year-old gompa offering panoramic views of the snow-clad Spiti Valley.
- Return to your homestay in Kaza for overnight stay.

Day-6: Excursion to Langza, Komik and Hikkim
- After breakfast, set out for another high-altitude winter excursion in Spiti Valley.
- Visit Langza Village, home to the famous giant Buddha statue overlooking snow-covered mountains.
- Continue to Komic Village (4,587 m), the world’s highest motorable village, often blanketed in snow during winters.
- Head to Hikkim Village, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can mail postcards.
- Return to your homestay in Kaza by evening.

Day-7: Kaza to Reckong Peo (220 km)
- After breakfast, check out from the homestay and start for Reckong Peo.

Day-8: Reckong Peo to Chandigarh Drop (320 km)

Snowfall depends on weather. However Spiti in winter is covered with snow and you can expect snowfall, snow-clad mountains, frozen rivers and icy roads throughout the journey.

Mostly homestays with basic facilities. In extreme cold, Spitian pit toilets may be used. Some properties offer common western toilets.
What should I pack for the Winter Spiti Group Tour?
Heavy woolens, thermals, gloves, waterproof jackets, sturdy shoes, medicines and personal essentials are a must.
Is Wi-Fi or mobile network available in Spiti during winter?
Airtel, Jio and BSNL network is available in almost all the villages. Network may be unavailable in some locations during live snowfall. So it’s better to prepare for minimal communication.

- Rest amount: before 15 days of the trip
Cancellation Policy:
- 10% of trip cost will be charged in case you cancel the trip more than 30 days before trip start day.
- 25% of trip cost will be charged in case you cancel the trip 22-29 days before trip start day.
- 50% of trip cost will be charged in case you cancel the trip 15-21 days before trip start day.
- 75% of trip cost will be charged in case you cancel the trip 8-14 days before trip start day.
- No refund in case you cancel the trip 0-7 days before trip start day.
- No refund for unused or partial used services.
- Full refund if we cancel the trip. Please note that no additional compensation or payment will be provided.

- Alcohol is strictly prohibited during the trip.
- There should be no heart and lungs patient. If you have any of the heart and/or lungs related issue, please consult your doctor and also let us know.
- If your BMI (Body Mass Index) exceeds 32, please consult your doctor.
- Minimum temperature may drop up to minus 30 degree.
- Regular toilets may be frozen and non-operational. Therefore, you may need to use common local Spitian pit toilets. These toilets do not have western seats and may be smelly and unhygienic. Some properties provide one common western toilet with hot water in bucket.
