Itinerary
In the afternoon, check in to your hotel in Manali and take rest. You may go on a sightseeing tour of Manali at your own cost. Tour briefing in the evening by tour coordinator.

After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Jispa. Visit Atal Tunnel enroute. The tunnel is a marvel of engineering and is an attraction in itself. It connects Manali to Lahaul valley and reduces travel time significantly. Enjoy the scenic views around. After Atal Tunnel, you will reach Sissu. Sissu is located on the banks of the Chandra River. You can take a walk along the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery around. Cross the river through ziplining and visit the Sissu Waterfall, which is located around one km walking distance from the zipline. The waterfall is a popular attraction and is surrounded by lush greenery. Reach Jispa in the evening via Tandi and Keylong. Check in to your hotel/camp in Jispa.

After early breakfast, start your journey towards Leh. Road goes through Deepak Tal, Suraj Tal, Baralacha La, Sarchu, Gata Loops, Naki La, Lachulung La, Pang, Morey Plains and Tanglang La. Night stay in hotel in Leh.

After breakfast, start for Sham Valley sightseeing. Visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and Nimmu Sangam. At Nimmu Sangam, Indus and Zanskar rivers meet. You may do river rafting and bunjee jumping here (at your cost). While back to Leh, visit Spituk Monastery and Hall of fame. Hall of Fame remains closed on Monday. In the afternoon, visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Then cab will drop you at your hotel. Spend the evening in your own way like visiting Leh Market and shopping etc.

After breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed for Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass. Visit Diskit Monastery. Check in to your hotel/camp in Nubra Valley. After some rest, proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes in Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (at your own). Night stay in camp/hotel.

After Breakfast drive to Turtuk. Turtuk was under Pakistan’s control until 1971, after which India gained control of this strategic area. It is predominantly a Muslim village and residents speak Balti, Ladakhi and Urdu. Turtuk is the last outpost in India after which the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins. Back to Nubra and night stay in hotel/camp.

After breakfast, start for Pangong Lake via Shyok. The main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet. A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflection shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lakes brackish water. Night stay in camps near the lake.

After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Kargil. Enjoy scenic views of barren mountains, valleys and winding roads. Enroute visit the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, known as the “Moonland of Ladakh” for its unique lunar-like landscape. Spend time exploring the monastery and soaking in the breathtaking views. Cross Fotu La Pass, the highest point on the Srinagar-Leh Highway (13,478 ft). Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. Cross the Namik La Pass (12,198 ft), another high-altitude pass offering mesmerizing views and photo opportunities. Visit the famous Mulbekh Monastery, known for its ancient 9-meter-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha carved into a rock face. Arrive in Kargil and check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring Kargil Market or relaxing at your accommodation.

After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Padum. Enjoy the initial stretch along the picturesque Suru Valley, known for its lush greenery, villages and towering peaks. Take a short break at Sankoo for tea and enjoy the views of the Nun-Kun Peaks (7,135 m and 7,077 m). Stop briefly at Panikhar, a beautiful village surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Visit the Rangdum Monastery, perched on a hill amidst vast plains surrounded by mountains. Enjoy the unique landscape that transitions from green valleys to barren, high-altitude terrain. Pass through the stark yet beautiful Rangdum Plains, a high-altitude plateau with dramatic mountain views. The area is perfect for photography, with its contrasting colors and unique terrain. At an elevation of ~14,500 ft, Pensi La Pass offers incredible views of the Zanskar Valley and nearby peaks. Enjoy a short break to take in the breathtaking scenery. Located just beyond Pensi La, the Drang Drung Glacier is one of the largest glaciers in Ladakh. Admire the massive expanse of ice and its stunning backdrop of rugged peaks. Then reach Padum. Padum is the administrative center of the Zanskar Valley. Check into your hotel or homestay and relax after the long journey.

After breakfast, check out the hotel and start for Purne. The drive from Padum to Anmo Village (near Purne) is scenic but challenging, with rugged mountain terrain and breathtaking views. Arrive at Purne and check into your homestay or guesthouse and freshen up before starting the trek for Phuktal Monastery. The trail is 3-4 km one way and takes you through stunning landscapes along the Tsarap River, crossing suspension bridges and narrow pathways. The final approach to Phuktal Monastery reveals the monastery built into a cliffside cave, an architectural marvel. Visit the Phuktal Monastery, a 12th-century Buddhist monastery known for its unique cave setting and spiritual ambiance. Interact with monks, meditate and learn about the monastery’s history. Enjoy views of the dramatic gorge and river below. Then begin your return trek along the same route, enjoying different perspectives of the stunning Zanskar landscape. Relax and enjoy a warm meal at your guesthouse. Spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the serene surroundings of Purne.

After breakfast, check out the homestay and start for Jispa. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Tsarap River as you begin your journey. Visit Gombo Rangjon, a majestic sacred mountain that rises dramatically in the middle of vast plains.
Spend some time exploring the wide plain below Gombo Rangjon, a perfect spot for photography and soaking in the serene atmosphere. Continue driving through rugged terrain and picturesque landscapes. Reach Shinku La Pass. At an elevation of ~16,580 ft, Shinku La offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and valleys. Stop for a short break to admire the beauty and take photos. Descend towards the Lahaul Valley, where the terrain transitions from stark high-altitude desert to greener landscapes. Enjoy stunning views of streams, meadows and mountain villages en route. Stop at Darcha, a small village in the Lahaul region, for lunch and refreshments. After arrival in Jispa, check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the quaint village, walking by the Bhaga River or simply relaxing after the long journey.
